On Thursday, February 5th; myself, Blake, and dad left for Park City, Utah for a weekend of skiing.  It has been years since we have taken a trip together; it was nice to spend some quality time together.  This was the first time Blake has ever been skiing, so we were unsure if he would enjoy it; not only did he enjoy it, but he’s pretty good.  Enjoy the pictures from the trip.

I find that whenever you take a vacation you need to break all the rules; including having ice cream for dinner. Amanda, Ben and I stop for a tasty treat on the way home from shopping the outlet mall. We have certainly enjoyed our family vacation. Tomorrow we will meet up with some friends to spend the last half of our vacation with.

Gulf Shores photo album

I write this two days into our family vacation to Gulf Shores, Alabama. Ben loves the beach! You never know how your 15 month old will react to the sand between his toes and the ocean water hitting his legs; it didn’t take long for us to know Ben’s reaction. As soon as we put Ben on his towel, he quickly crawled into the sand and straight toward the water. He hesitated briefly at the water’s edge, but with a little encouragement from dad, he went into the water and investigated all the ocean has to offer.

On Tuesday, September 9th, Ben “officially” walked on his own. We were lucky to have our camera close by to take a video of his first steps.

We spent our August enjoying all the heat and humidity Georgia has to offer.  Ben took his first trip to the Georgia Aquarium and also took a trip with Amanda to visit grandparents in Alabama.  With the summer heat, Ben really enjoyed the visits to the pool.
